Connecting Moms Of Color with Therapist of Color

By funding culturally sensitive therapy, we can create a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and growth.

Breaking Down Stigma and Barriers

Matching moms of color therapist of color allows for a deeper level of cultural understanding and empathy. Therapists who share similar backgrounds and experiences can better comprehend the nuances of their clients' lives, including the impact of systemic racism, discrimination, and cultural expectations.

Cultural Understanding and Empathy

Matching black and brown therapists with black and brown moms helps break down the stigma surrounding mental health within these communities. Historically, seeking therapy has been seen as a sign of weakness or a lack of faith. However, when moms see therapists who look like them and share their cultural background, it can challenge these negative perceptions and encourage more individuals to seek help.

Client Feedback

Dear Strong Friend, We Want To Hear From YOU!

A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER

I AM THE STRONG ONE! These words resonate within me, echoing the resilience and determination that has shaped my character, my relationships, motherhood, and my womanhood. Throughout my life, I have encountered numerous challenges, and unthinkable trauma. It appeared I had it all together and in no way did I want to associate “my brand” with being a mentally unhealthy. People relied on me to be well. Today I realize my true strength was getting out of bed in the morning, one day at a time. My strength was seeking therapy after my husband’s tear filled eyes pleaded “please get help’. My strength was screaming loudly “I am not ok!” The real strength is in vulnerability. Strength alone will not heal the heartbreak, fear, or shame. Through years therapy and a sacred partnership with God, I am excited for the future and hopeful for all moms because I know, for sure, JOY is coming in the morning!

“Weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning!” – Psalm 30:5
